CSG or Computer Services Group based in Northampton have been successfully trading for over 10 years. Our engineers have over 35 years combined experience working in the industry. We currently provide support for small to medium sized businesses based in and around the Northampton area.

We currently operate out of two shops, The Computer Repair Shop on weedon road and The Laptop Repair Shop on abington square near the town center.

Hardware Diagnostics @ £25.00 inc. VAT (Fee waived on repair works being undertaken)
Software testing of system components to diagnose actual fault(s).
Restore Windows Access @ £45.00 inc. VAT
Blue screens errors, looping reboots, SafeMode access only, Missing system files.

Reinstall of Windows Operating Systems @ £75.00 inc. VAT
You must have a genuine Certificate Of Authenticity for the Operating System. Perform a clean install of the Operating System, install all hardware drivers, Activation of Windows with Microsoft, all Windows Updates to current date.
Additional software install @ £30 inc. VAT
Software provided by the customer, OpenOffice (an alternative to Microsoft Office), AVG free license, SpyBot Search & Destroy Anti-Spyware, Adobe Reader for PDF files, Windows Cleanup tool.
Spyware/Virus Removal @ £75.00 inc. VAT
Comprehensive Spyware/Adware/Virus program removal, After successful cleaning CSG will warranty the software repair for 30 days.
Data Backup
Hard drive in good condition, no errors during diagnostics @ £25.00 per DVD (4.5GB) inc. VAT
Hard drive in poor condition, errors found during diagnostics @ £35.00 per DVD (4.5GB) inc. VAT
Data targetted as My Documents, email and contacts from Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, however email account details cannot be saved. Itunes, and customer specified files where possible. CSG accept no responsibility for condition or amount of data saved from a failing hard drive, the £30 charge is still made for the data backup attempt.
Data Transfer between computers @ £50.00 inc VAT
Recreation of user profiles as required, My Documents, Emails and accounts (where provided), address books etc, Software installed when provided by the customer.
Installation of parts in system chassis @ £25.00 Inc VAT
Clone ~ Ghost of Hard Disk @ £25.00 Inc VAT
Additional parts fitted @ £10.00 Inc Vat per item
This charge covers :- Motherboard, CPU, Memory, Power Supplies, Hard drives, Optical drives, card readers etc. Important – if the motherboard is changed in a PC, the Windows Operating System may require repair to work successfully with the new component. Therefore the “Restore Windows Access” charge would also apply.
Laptop Power Jack Replacement @ £80.00 Inc Vat + Cost of powerjack
Strip down of unit to remove main circuit board, desolder of jack, resolder of new, continuity check, rebuild unit, and charge battery. Please note – Sony and Samsung Laptops will be quoted for, as the power jack is non standard and requires sourcing.
Laptop Screen Replacement @ £35.00 Inc VAT + Cost of Screen.
Strip down of unit to remove LCD/TFT screen, identify unit, and replace screen with compatible part.
Laptop Motherboard Replacement @ £75.00 Inc VAT + Cost of Motherboard .
Onsite visits are available on request
Callout charge @ £35.00 Inc VAT (This includes first half hour)
Additional onsite time @ £30.00 Inc VAT per 30 minutes.
There is no maximum time limit when on site. Time on site is time charged.
Collection and Return of computers within 3 miles of Northampton Town Centre is Free, contact us for an appointment.

For 3-10 miles add cost of £10.00………………10-15 miles add cost of £15.00
All other jobs in our workshops are subject to quotation at our standard half hourly rate of £25.00 Inc VAT per 30 minutes of bench time per job, However CSG operate a maximum labour charge limit for 3 hours of work. You will never be charged for any works that excedes this limit.. Software repairs have a 30 day warranty with us, Hardware repairs are covered by the standard manufacturers warranty. Laptop jack repairs are covered for 30 days.
